Saffron Ingredients, Quality & How to Use
What’s Inside
LAVIAAN saffron contains one ingredient: 100% pure saffron from the red stigmas of the Crocus sativus flower.
Our saffron contains no artificial colors, added flavors, preservatives, fillers, or blended ingredients.
Origin and Quality
Our saffron is sourced from Herat, Afghanistan, through relationships with small family farms. Every batch is independently evaluated for quality and tested according to ISO 3632 standards.
LAVIAAN saffron is:
- ISO 3632 Category I
- Made from all-red saffron stigmas
- Independently tested
- Origin documented
- Free from artificial coloring and fillers
How to Use Saffron Threads
Add 8–12 threads to warm water, milk, tea, or another beverage. Allow the threads to steep for 5–10 minutes as the liquid gradually develops its golden color, aroma, and flavor.
For cooking, gently crush and bloom the threads in a small amount of warm water, milk, or broth before adding them to rice, sauces, desserts, soups, or baked goods.
How to Use Saffron Powder
Add a small pinch of saffron powder directly to tea, warm milk, coffee, oatmeal, yogurt, smoothies, rice, or recipes. Because it is already ground, saffron powder releases its color and aroma more quickly than whole threads.
Storage
Keep saffron tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.
Important Information
LAVIAAN saffron is sold as a culinary spice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. People who are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or managing a medical condition should consult a qualified healthcare professional before using saffron in amounts beyond ordinary culinary use.
